I wanted to feature some of the beauty establishments I get to indulge myself in and around my local area, to highlight their excellent services and my little way of showing support for local businesses.
So, without further adieu, let me introduce you to...
Relax A Vous Beauty Salon
A privately owned and run health and beauty salon by none other than the lovely Maxine or Max (to some).
Although most of my readers are from different parts of the world, you never know, you might end up on this side of the globe visiting friends and family, to enjoy the breathtaking countryside and experience a delectable afternoon tea — and perhaps decide, oh I want to pamper myself too! Voila! This post would come very handy for you!

I was so thrilled when Relax A Vous beauty salon opened a few years ago since this isn’t far from home. Yes, there are other healthy and beauty spa in town, but I just never get that feeling of wanting to go to them.
Max is your qualified beauty therapist with 2 NVQs in Health & Beauty plus more than 10 years of experience in the industry. But what so special about Relax A Vous, and difference from the many I’ve visited, is that personal touch and love that Max has poured into every corner of the premises. And because it’s not one of those chains or corporate-looking establishment, this has really appealed to me a lot, and I’m sure her repeat customers feel the same.

From being greeted in the well-organised reception area, ushered to the cozy treatment room, the lovely aroma of essential oils in the air, perfect lighting & decor, to the perfect choice of relaxing music enough to lull you into deep and wonderful sleep, Relax A Vous’s experience truly is amazing.
You’ll be spoiled for choice of treatments — facials, massages, exfoliation, tinting, Hopi Ear candles, waxing, manicure/pedicure, and the most-loved treatment by many, Hot & Cold Stone therapy.

Hot/Cold Stone Therapy
Stone therapy is a complete Mind, Body & Soul treatment. Incorporating warm and cold stones into a massage technique. The stones are taken from countries of High Energy and Low Pollution. (so rest assured, they’re not just your random stones from the park!)
The Basalt stones originate from the mountain range of the Andes, Peru, South America. The cold stones are from the ocean basin in the same area.
Oh, sounds perfect! This is next on my list! Who’s with me?
Full body treatment 1 Hour 30 Min £50.00
Back Hot Stone treatment 40 Min £30.00

And I must say, when it comes to waxing, I would highly recommend Relax A Vous without hesitation! This is definitely by far the safest and cleanest waxing system I’ve come across, which is perfect for my sensitive skin.

Waxing
PhD Safewax system is the only waxing system that keeps contamination out. It means no more dipping that spatula in the pot! With no spatulas involved, this minimizes the risk of cross infection and ensures the client is waxed in the most hygienic environment possible. Each client will have their own pre-sealed applicator heads (as shown above) which is disposed of after waxing treatment. Unique patented gate mechanisms in each applicator that prevents wax from reentering the tube.
I was so happy that Max opted for this type of waxing treatment even if this obviously cost her a little to buy compare to your standard spatula-dipping-and-dripping-in-the-pot. You’d be surprised that her waxing prices are still reasonable. It starts from £5 to £30 for a full leg and bikini wax. She’s still the cheapest in town!

For OPI fans, you can buy some of the range from Max too! How convenient. I was so holding back from buying nail polishes when I was there, since I know I’d end up with loads! But it’s good to know that not only can you have a quick mani and pedi, you can also take your favourite colour home with you! Oh, don’t forget to check out some of her accessories selection too.
So if you’re happen to be in the Worcestershire area (UK), or you’re planning to treat a special someone this Valentine’s Day, don’t forget to check out Relax A Vous! Currently running a special price on Hot & Cold Stone Theraphy – a perfect his & hers treat! (You will pay £50 for two (a saving of £10).
