I can’t remember when or how I came across Lovelula but I assume that my Facebook feeds have something to do with it, especially since I’m following a few skincare/beauty fanatics. So when I finally spotted that they also offer beauty boxes with FREE WORLDWIDE shipping, I said yay! It’s time to finally try John Masters Organics range among other organic brands that Lovelula Hair & Bodycare Selection Box came along with.
When I looked at the normal price tag for each product, especially the full sized ones, I choked a little. And I’m glad to say without hesitation that this box was worth more than I paid for and I even get to shop tax free*! This was priced at £9.99 and I paid £7.50 in the end plus FREE SHIPPING. Boy, aren’t I a happy shopper?
Let’s unbox, shall we?
My order arrived exactly 10 working days from the time I placed it. A timeframe I would expect normally for standard shipping. My box looked a bit battered, not sure how this has been handled by the courier or customs but thankfully, all content arrived in one piece, not in pieces. Pheww.
Lovelula Hair & Bodycare items came in this drawstring pouch, which is handy to carry around when traveling. All items can be considered as travel size, and I noticed that Lovelula also sells them individually on their site, starting from £5 each.
I’m quite impressed that none of them actually leaked! I guess excellent brand packaging and travel-friendly, huh?
This beauty box sold out almost instantly, and I’m not surprised. It’s a lovely selection enough to make a skincare or haircare junkie happy.
See the contents below.
If you’re a fan of vanilla-scented lotion with a citrusy kick, then John Masters Body Milk in Blood Orange & Vanilla is worth a try. It’s not overpowering and that’s coming from someone who is not keen on citrus fragrances but can binge on oranges or orange juice. LOL.
This is the first time I’ve heard of Gielly Green, which is deemed to be pure and natural. Their haircare products do not contain parabens, no synthetic fragrances and no SLS or SLES. (£5.00 each)
Gielly Green Conditioner (50ml) smells interesting with a musky-ish finish, which I surprisingly like and it does condition my hair beautifully. I might have to purchase the full sized one once I run out. Depending on how many times you wash your hair and how thick your hair is, you can probably get up to a one week’s worth washes from the shampoo and a little bit more for the conditioner. Perfect companion when traveling for the weekend. Plus I love how the packaging is flat, which means it’s not going to accumulate a lot of space in your bag.Essential Care Gentle Herb Shampoo definitely has that herb-type smell that I’m not sure everyone will be very keen on. It’s not bad, but it’s definitely not your typical drugstore brand smelling shampoo. I also find this to not lather as well as the Gielly Green Shampoo although both don’t have the SLS foaming agent. With my thick hair, I think 50ml (£3.50) would probably last me at least 3-4 washes tops.
Alison Claire Mango Body Butter is delish – a good enough to eat body butter that absorbs and does not have that greasy feeling after. This 50ml retails for £7.99 and a little goes a long way.
And with every purchase over at Lovelula, you can pick 3 FREE samples, which I thought was awesome. Being a self-proclaimed skincare junkie, I went for Kimberly Sayer Light Cleansing Lotion and Face Cleanser. Has anyone tried this brand yet?
If you love beauty boxes but doesn’t want the element of surprise involved since you’d rather know what you’re getting, then Lovelula Selection Boxes definitely are something to think about. Not to mention that it’s also a great gift idea or a treat for yourself.
Check out their selection boxes here and don’t forget to grab your samples!
