Don’t you just love handbags? They come in many shapes and designs to cater to our desires and preferences. I’ve probably went from small, boxy types, to cross-body ones in the past. At one point, my Mom called me ‘the bag lady’ because there were just too many in my collection, which I ended up giving away when little bean came to this world, and switched to changing bags.
These days, we’d normally carry the changing bag that clings on to his push chair and then my own handbag just to make it easier to look for things. Do you always end up carrying too much stuff because you feel that you might need them later? Which means filling up the bag regardless of how big it is, with no room to move things around anymore? This happened to me countless of times!
So what’s exactly in my handbag?
Rummage along with me!
I have a big heart for charity shops (or thrift stores to some) and I like to browse, and most of the time, come home with something. Like this beauty right here. This would normally retail around £50+, but I was able to snatch it for £6.95 and is still in immaculate condition. Shopping for a good cause! Can’t beat that.(yep! I carry my iPhone charger, too! At least 95% of the time)
And the contents…
Minimal. And that is to make room for other things, if the situation calls for it. I’ve learned that when you have a baby, a back up plan is always required! More space in the bag is one of those. So, the above is what I call ‘essentials’.
Wipes and plasters are must-haves when out and about with this uber active little bean. And to stay awake and refresh all season, I can’t go without my Klair’s facial mist in Cherry Blossom and Rose.
I love lip balms, so I have at least two that I can choose from to pamper my pout. See that yellow candy cane? That has to be one of my favourites! It smells like lemon and has that orange-y tint that I just love. It’s my summer shade from Etude House.
A pen and a notepad might not look very high-tech, but they always come handy. Always.
This purse by Marla (London) was a total bargain! It used to retail at £24.95 and I got it for £5.00 from a sale! Did I mention I’m a bargain huntress, too? 😉
Don’t we girls just love to accessorise things? Same thing with my keys here, and I went for the cute! And yes, that’s my tattered iPhone case that definitely needs changing!
So, if I do the math, the whole contents including my handbag would be a total of: £41.13 (with the iPhone monthly payment included, it would be £91.13)
** This is my entry for MoneySupermarket competition ‘What’s In My Handbag’ for a chance to win … wait for it …. a handbag! Say a Mulberry Bayswater Handbag, a purse and a phone case. Perfect! Wish me luck! **
