Google is swarmed with techniques, important steps and insights on how to supercharge your blog or how to become a better blogger. And I encourage you to add this one on your list for future reference. Why? Because it’s one of those lists that you’re familiar with but sometimes, you just need that little reminder to stay focus on the right course for your blog.
So how to supercharge your blog?
How to stay afloat among the many blogs in the blogosphere? Simple, let’s start with its brain motor. You, the BLOGGER.
Good sleeping habits.
And when I say good, I mean the golden rule of an 8-hour sleep ourselves deserve.
Nothing beats a good 8-hour sleep, that’s just a fact. You wake up refresh, your mind is more receptive to new ideas, you feel motivated, which means you start your day happy.
And it goes without saying that a happy blogger means better blogging.
But… but what if I had a good night sleep and something BAD happens? And now I have lost all motivation? You asked.
As Forest Gump says, sh*t happens (cheesy, I know but I sooo love that movie!!) and it’s your choice to either back away or turn that frown into a smiley face.
Which will bring us to..
Think happy thoughts!
Happy thoughts are the perfect armor against negativity. If we dwell into our misfortunes, we’ll only end up feeling crappier and stuck more than ever. So think happy thoughts. Do something to liven things up and push away the negative stuff so you can blog better.
Need a little help to do it?
Be with the right crowd! The positive crowd.
The blogging community is vast and mixed, but as a blogger, you get to choose who you surround yourself with. Blogging will always have its ups and downs, and when things don’t go as planned, you want someone that would give you the its going to be OK and help you see the bright side. Not dampen your mood even more. Agree?
And if we are entitled to having our ‘me’ time and exercise, so does our brains.
Brain exercise.
Generally speaking, your brain needs its relaxation and its exercise to function well.
Don’t feel disheartened when you’re unable to produce a good content as quickly as you would like it to be. FYI, a good content is not rushed.
And if you go through ‘writer’s block’ period, turn into your brain’s exercise period.
Think outside the box. Write whatever words or ideas that come to mind that are related to your subject (Keep a notepad and pen handy. Going old school is cool, too!). You don’t necessarily need to write an essay for a post. Make this moment your brain’s aerobics class! Forget about writers block! By the time you will look at the little things you’ve written down, they will start to form a connection and a ‘perfect’ content will be born.
Practice makes perfect, after all.
And now we want your readers to feel welcome. Let them stick around or better yet, make them want to come back for more.
Have a readers-friendly blog.
A blog that’s readers-friendly will do the trick. Making your readers squint or resort to Zoom-in feature just to be able to read your supposed-to-be amazing post will become a turn-off instantly. And this includes ‘flashy sidebar’, overly bold backgrounds, hard-to-find comment area and so on.
Remember, blog reading should be a smooth and an enjoyable experience. Improving the aesthetic appearance of your blog is not about vanity, it’s about putting your readers best interest while channeling professionalism overall. So unless you’re experimenting on how to deter readers from your blog, do something about it.
Feeling the supercharge vibe yet? Share the love and be fabulous! Have a great week ahead everyone!
