Gearing to start the week can be a pain sometimes especially when our weekend was just too good to walk away from, right? Who wants a day between Saturday & Sunday? Lol. But, we’re here now & Monday is about to get colorful & cheerful for you with this post. Forget about Monday blues, beauties, instead meet my latest drugstore beauty finds. The brands that caught me (and my purse) off guard with their latest or limited edition products, particularly Revlon’s newest Colorburst Matte Balm and Maybelline’s Baby Lips Dr Rescue.
Consider this your Monday retail therapy post, a sneak preview of what would be swatched and reviewed on my blog.
Enjoy!
- Maybelline New York did it for me this time.
I did’t fall for their ‘neon’ inspired lip balm Baby Lips before, but apparently, Baby Lips + Dr Rescue got me this time around. Haha.
And watch out for their new Color Elixir by ColorSensational, their very first liquid color balm. You’d be surprised what this product has in store for your lips. 😉
- Next up is Revlon’s Shadowlinks™.
Why the name? See below.
The linky shadows! Love that you can pick and match the colors according to your preference or mood. It comes in different finishes – Matte, Satin and I believe Metallic as well.
I picked up Revlon’s Just Bitten Balm before but was rather disappointed with the color payoff and formula, so I’m crossing my fingers that their newest addition Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer and Matte Balm will deliver this time, otherwise, I might as well just stick with Revlon’s Lip Butters or my Belleme’s Get Your Crayon.
But of course, this post will never be complete without some lacquered finishing touch. WinterMint is one great excuse for some glitters this cold season. This is from Revlon’s Parfumerie ‘Freshes’ Collection, which should have crisp and clean fragrance notes. And I couldn’t just turn my back without grabbing Wild Violets – it’s my favorite color, after all.
Q: Which of these products you’d love to indulge yourself in first? Any drugstore brands/limited edition you’re loving so far?
P.S. You can find some of these products from CVS, Face Values or Bed Bad & Beyond. Prices will vary.
