One of the things I love about nail art is that, you can experiment. Either colors, designs or simply replicate your favorite washi tape. The possibilities are endless. And since there’s no turning back when it comes to my growing washi tape obsession (I have my fab Etsy seller Lindsey from Silent Poetry Arts to thank for that), I thought a washi-inspired mani would make that official today.
I have a soft spot for floral type washi tapes. In fact, some of the mini projects I’ve done for my work station involved floral printed washi (pictured below).
What I used:
Nail polishes (of course)
Nail art tools (dotting and brushes/striping brush)
Base & Top Coat
To be honest, I wasn’t sure how it will turn out so I just started painting. I did however manage to take pics of how I did my accent nail, although not exactly step by step.
I’m pretty sure I could have easily glued the washi itself on my nails and it would have been perfect, but where’s the fun in that? 😛
The nail polish shades used are mainly from Revlon and one from Sally Hansen.
Revlon Gel Envy in Joker’s Wild, Revlon Parfumerie in Orange Blossom and Revlon Gel Envy in Sure Thing (white base). I went for Sally Hansen I-rush Luck, which seems to be the perfect ‘green’ for the stems.
So washi and nail art lovers, what do you think?
