From The Lab is back with their Winter Essentials Collection. Hurray! I have to admit, I love this limited or special edition releases because they always feature at least 4-5 products compare to the usual 1 or 2. Although I’m not saying the latter is bad, I just feel happier when I see more products, you could say. Seriously, who wouldn’t? More skincare goodies to play with!

From The Lab Winter Essentials Collection addresses our skin main concern this season, which is without a doubt dryness and extra protection from the freezing temperature. It’s also nice to see that they’ve included their lip crayon. I’ve heard many things about its impressive pigmentation and I wanted to find out myself.
I received 4 products featuring Face Cream No. 590, Eye Cream No. 579, Hydrating Lip Primer No. 629* and Lip Color Stick No. 337 – which is a high-gloss shine ruby red shade. The lip primer was also featured in their Summer Essentials Collection last year, which I reviewed HERE, which means that I’ll be giving this one away to one lucky beauty bean.
Face Cream No. 590 has a soft-pink appearance and a rather rich texture. It’s one of those a little goes a long way type of product. Be prepared for the ‘cooling shock factor’ when this cream touches your skin. It gives off a very subtle floral and baby powder-ish scent that lingers even after the cream has been absorbed.
The good thing about this cream is that regardless of its thickness or rich formula, it absorbs quite easily and doesn’t sit on your skin. It doesn’t leave any sticky residue and your skin feels and looks thoroughly hydrated and silky to touch.
This face cream contains precious Yarsagumba mushroom (found in the the Himalayas), which is so rare that it’s worth more than gold. What?? This potent mushroom is supposed to have unique healing powers and powerful antioxidant benefits that will help nourish and moisturize your skin for a healthier and radiant glow. A few notable main ingredients include Coffea Bengalensis Stem Cells, Biomimetic Peptide, Shea Butter and Vitamin E.
Next up is your Eye Cream No. 579, which looks and feels just like jello! While trying to get to the product in this cute little jar, my finger literally just bounced back from the product. It felt weird and fun at the same time. This has a very peculiar smell that immediately made me think of rice or oatmeal. And voila, this eye cream does contain rice extract, although I’m not entirely sure if that’s where the scent is coming from.
From The Lab Eye Cream No. 579 is meant to help moisturize, cools and refreshes the delicate areas around the eyes. I’ve been in need of some extra TLC for my eyes and hoping to diminish my dark circles because these days, they are getting worst. It’s formulated with tomato stem cell culture, sodium hyaluronate and a synergistic blend of rice and pomegranate extracts to help alleviate puffiness, keep skin hydrated and help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Fingers-crossed that this will do the trick and give me a rested and refreshed looking eyes in the end.
If you’re looking for drop dead, stand out from the crowd hue this year for your pout, then look no further and grab yourself this lip crayon.
From The Lab Lip Color Stick No. 337 definitely is not for everyone and at first I was hesitating because I really wasn’t sure if I could pull this off. This ruby-red (with noticeable orange undertones) will make your overall look pop!
Most importantly, this glides on your lips like a dream with a high-gloss shine finish. This is really hydrating plus the gel-based formula means this will lasts for hours. The only issue I have really is the color transfer and it seems to get all over my teeth, too! LOL. I think this is one of the issues I have with highly-pigmented bold lip colors that are also creamy.

On the upside, this is very comfortable to wear and doesn’t dry out my lips plus it leaves a lovely and even red stain after all the boldness is gone.
