Back in February, we indulged in a new luxury natural vegan skincare Pelle Beauty in our Brand Spotlight, where founder Marnie Cipriani, truly a beauty aficionado share her noteworthy tips on keeping your skin in top shape during the harsh winter months. Over the course of the weeks, I have been testing (yes, that’s what I primarily do these days) her Bloom Hydrating System, which is a lush line containing skin nourishing ingredients such as plant based distillates, aloe and botanicals with one goal: provide your skin the hydration it craves or deserves.
Let’s start with the first step of skincare routine – cleansing.
Bloom Foaming Cleanser (from $14) is a sulfate-free cleanser which is packed with Aloe, precious plant distillates and botanical extracts such as licorice, helichrysum and willow bark to brighten and refine. Neroli and Rose is also added in the mix with high amount of aloe to revitalize your dehydrated skin and gives off a delightful scent.
The foam almost has whipped-cream-like texture and dense compared to the foaming cleansers I’ve slathered on my face in the past, which means you’ll only need a little to start off as it does lather well. It’s very refreshing and instantly you’ll feel a soothing and cooling sensation as it thoroughly cleanses your skin, leaving a brighter and much fresher complexion. It cleanses but not squeaky-clean-kind-of-cleansing as it doesn’t strip your skin’s natural moisture. This is perfect for all skin types, but will definitely work wonders on oily skin, too.
Next up is Bloom Beauty Mist ($28 – 60ml), an absolute favorite as you can tell that I’ve used up 85% of it. I have been spritzing this beauty mist the moment I opened the package, which clearly breaks my blogging rule of but first, take a photo. Marnie calls this a multi-tasker and I couldn’t agree more. I use this as toner, to freshen up when my skin feels parched (and my skin was during the winter months, thanks to the 24/7 heating) and also great to set my makeup. I also like to use this along with a 1-2 drops of facial oil to create an instant moisturizer for the day.
Bloom Beauty Mist is formulated with distillates of Neroli & Rose along with skin loving Aloe to revitalize dehydrated lackluster complexions. Licorice Root & Calendula work to brighten & calm your complexion. Bloom Beauty Mist will lock in moisture leaving your face fresh and hydrated. The natural and blissful scent of Bloom will have you feeling relaxed in no-time.
Last but certainly not the least is Bloom Beauty Serum ($80 – 60ml), which is very much alike as the Mist only in gel serum form. If your skin is feeling dehydrated then, this sure is a treat. I find the consistency very watery and has a distinctive zesty kick to it. This contains Hyaluronic Acid and Coconut Water for some serious hydration boost and floral distillates of Neroli, Aloe and Hibiscus to help maintain skin’s elasticity. It gives you that feeling of ‘I’ve just freshen up’.
Overall, the Bloom Hydrating System is the perfect trio. They go very well together and deliver as far as hydrating, revitalizing and giving your skin the extra TLC goes.
