I am the type of girl who likes her makeup clean and simple. But I also have a motto I live by: go big or go home. So when the occasion calls for it and it’s time to doll up, I go all out. And this holiday season, the only drama I really need is … faux lashes. Who needs real drama when you have lashes on fleek, right?
You might have seen my Facebook post recently about this amazing fake lashes from D’Eyeko — and folks, I don’t say amazing for nothing. While I consider myself (still) falsies challenged, I was really excited to get the job done this time without accidentally poking my eyeballs or a glue mishap.
I’ve tried drugstore brands before and to be honest, that’s probably one of the reasons why I stopped using fake lashes because they just felt heavy, too uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time and most of all, I really had issues putting them on. Ok, the latter has my skills to blame back then. So I never really thought that this could change until I tried these amazing D’Eyeko strip of lashes goodness!
D’Eyeko Demi Wispies (992) – $15.99 $9.99 ON SALE!
First things first, D’Eyeko’s lashes aren’t synthetic. In fact, they’re 100% sterilized human hair. The perks of having the real deal are: these lashes feel real, soft to touch, lightweight and well, the obvious, they look real than its synthetic counterpart. And oh, they’re reusable, too!
Another thing I’ve noticed right away was how the strip was much easier to bend/wiggle around so it fits nicely on my lash line while the ones I’ve tried before felt stiff, which made it impossible to adjust when applying. This D’Eyeko feature made the application smoother and the wear more comfortable than my previous experience. Even my husband was impressed. Now, that says a lot!
D’Eyeko Double Lashes (2007) – $19.99 $13.99 ON SALE!
So if you’re looking to inject a bit of glamor to your smoky-eye-red-lip signature holiday-inspired look to celebrate the upcoming festivity, don’t just go faux, go for D’Eyeko! I went for Demi Wispies Lashes (992) because I love how it’s almost natural-looking yet still has that required ‘drama’ but I also picked up Double Lashes (2007) because like I said, go big or go home.
Happy Holidays!
Question: How do you apply your fake lashes? Tweezer? A lash applicator or good ol’ fingers?
