So I had yet another stroll at my local Boots shop to pick up some baby stuff and once again passed by the makeup stalls area. Bad move. Luckily, I’m being picky these days so I don’t really get tempted like before.
What piqued my interest though was Revlon’s Limited Edition Baby Stick – Pacific Coast Collection. It looks a little bit like an oversized lip balm, if you ask me. I was very curious that the first thing I did was sniff it! Like a true beauty blogger should d, haha.
And all I can say is – crayons! Smelt just like crayons and personally, very off-putting. Still, that didn’t stop me from swatching them. I was quite in a rush with a baby in tow so pardon the not-so clearly angled shots (and chipped nails) ok?
They come in 3 different colors Tahitian, Sunset and Pink Passion, and has a balm-like texture.

I initially tried them on the back of my hand but was not satisfied so I switched on my wrist and just rubbed! Rub like you mean it! No kidding! Otherwise you’d be lucky if you see some colors on your cheeks or lips.
So Tahitian has this very, very faint peachy finish, Sunset is more on the pale orange hue (a colour I’m loving this season, so watch out for some orange-type lip tint soon) and Pink Passion, a bright pink colour and definitely the only baby stick that required just 2 rubs (with pressure!) for the color to become visible.
But, wait for it … surprisingly, they seemed to be long-wearing and did not disappear even while I was washing the dishes until I really scrubbed hard with soap. I’m not sure whether to take this as a good or bad sign at this point, to be honest.
If you’re a fan of Revlon, you might have seen this already and tried it, so share your opinion. And for those who haven’t, based on the above, is it Yay or Nay?
