Ahh, don’t you just love it when companies do a little twist on their marketing plan and produced us a rather controversial advertisement? Mind you, this one seems to work in many ways. Let’s meet The Saem Global Eco Red Lipstick endorsed by none other than Bigbang’s (popular South Korean band) most notably leader, G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong 권지용).
I wouldn’t blame anyone who first saw this commercial and thought, what on earth were they thinking? But with G-Dragon’s incomparable charisma and bold personality as ever, it turns out that even red lipstick looks good on this guy!
Advertisement aside, and I won’t deny that seeing this guy wearing this lipstick was what caught my attention first, I’m beginning to take a liking to this lipstick. Why? Because the ingredients are just impressive. I have a feeling that The Saem Global Eco Red were going for the Earth Day celebration approach, even though this was launched back in March. Nonetheless, so far, this lipstick is ticking all the boxes for me.
Here’s why:
The Saem Global Eco Red contains:
♦ Rosehip Oil ♦ Argan Oil ♦ Almond Oil ♦ Grapeseed Oil
And it has NO: petroleum surfactant, benzophenone, GMO and is talc-free for sensitive lips.
It’s formulated to keep your lips moisturized without feeling sticky, while providing you that clear and pure color for a beautiful-looking lips, in red.
This red lipstick is currently selling around $12 with FREE Shipping on most Ebay sellers and it comes with G-Dragon’s poster. And would I buy it? Perhaps. I don’t own a red lipstick, so it would be interesting to have this in my bag on standby if I feel like going for a bolder look, which means I might really end up using it all. I think the price will be justified then for me. Plus the ingredients are just too tempting to not give it a try. That being said, if it weren’t for G-Dragon’s red-wearing-lipstick commercial, I probably wouldn’t know about The Saem Global Eco Red and would end up missing on the ingredients list. This guy really did create a buzz on this product. Kudos to The Saem.
So what’s your take on this new ‘Eco Red’, Yay or Nay?
