This time I made sure to stay away from the glam room so I don’t spoil the surprise of what could be in my December Ipsy Glam Bag. Can’t be making the same mistake as peeking like before. Ha ha.
The theme was Celebration and my glam bag arrived in time for the party we were going to. I was one happy bunny and you can’t deny that this glam bag looks very pretty. I now use it as my trusted makeup bag. 🙂
So without dragging this along as I’m pretty sure you’ve seen many ipsy unpacking out there, here’s what came in my bag.
Every product arrived safe and sound apart from the Pop Beauty eyeshadow trio palette (Naturally Bare) where one of pans (the darker one) was out of place — so there were powder residues everywhere. I wasn’t planning on using it but ended up doing so anyway since I can’t really give it away in that state. Turns out, it’s actually not that bad.
I received another Be A Bombshell product but this time, I got The One Blush Stick and this your warm bright pink with a subtle shimmer cream blusher. It’s almost unnoticeable unless you take a closer look. This feels slightly creamy so it’s easy to blend on your cheeks. I tried this on my lips but I couldn’t stand the smell or how it felt, which is on the coarse side. Weird, huh?
And although I was hoping that I would get more of a brighter lipstick shade from NYX, I got this frosted nude instead with some gold undertones. Luckily, this doesn’t actually look bad and definitely compliments everything in my bag. It feels silky smooth when applied. Nice. (apologies if I look sort of ill in my FOTD, in fact, I was quite ill when I took this pic LOL)

Another great addition to my growing makeup brushes stash is Mirabella Eye Blender, which by the way feels incredibly soft and does its job very well. And can you believe that this costs $27?? :-O
And to top it all off, I was super excited to get a nail polish in my bag, of course! I don’t own any taupe colors so Nicka K’s Classic Taupe (NY112) was more than welcome. Don’t you love how the packaging looks? I did a very simple nail art on this via Instagram if you’ve not seen it yet.
Was this glam bag a good deal for $10? Certainly. It’s a mixture of different things pretty and the fact that I’ve used them all so far and enjoyed it (especially the bag!) I think that’s a big thumbs up!
I’m excited what 2014 will bring in my glam bag. I have a feeling that I’ll end up with a pile of glam bags by the end of the year. Yay!
