Washing my hair can be quite a chore. It’s thick, the ends are slightly brittle, thanks to the 4-hour lifting sesh I subjected it to a few months ago. Basically, it just needs an extra work to get it in top shape. If you thought I just woke up with my hair looking glam on Instagram? Wrong.
Hence, choosing the best hair care is a must in my books. These days, I’m really on a shampoo and conditioner quest and it seems it’s not going to end sooner. And one of the hair care duo I get to slather all over my dry and untamable hair is Keranique Clean and Condition Set.
The Clean & Condition Set is specially formulated to gently clean and stimulate the scalp to nourish and rejuvenate the hair follicles.
Let me give you a heads up (no pun intended) avoid contact with eyes! Like, seriously. While I’m a huge fan of mint due to its refreshing and cooling sensation seeping through my scalp, this brand really went all out and has been extra generous with the minty flavor. So if you get carried away shampooing your hair like I did, then yes, it will sting your eyes a little.
Both products have a very similar scent and can be a little bit overpowering if you stick your nose in. So don’t. I normally go easy with how much shampoo I use but this one, I indulged my hair a bit more since it didn’t lather as much right away. Was my hair too oily or dirty? I’ll never know. Or should I?
Nonetheless, my hair did feel clean after a good wash but without it feeling dried out, if that makes sense. The conditioner definitely helps soften my tresses without weighing it down and the mint flavor in the end felt quite a treat since it was relaxing. See, that’s why I love mint after all.
Keranique is made in the USA and is free of sulfates, dyes and parabens. You can purchase Keranique Clean and Condition set on their website for $49.95 and comes with a FREE gentle detangling comb.
