It’s safe to say that the best skin of my life started a few weeks ago with Paula’s Choice. While age is just a number, I find that as I get older, my list of skin concerns has grown every year. One area, in particular, is the ability to find products that not only keep my skin hydrated and radiant but do so without causing redness or irritation.
This brings me to Paula’s Choice CALM Redness Relief Kit (Normal-Oily), which was personalized based on a questionnaire I completed detailing my skin type and concerns. I loved the fact that I received expert advice on what to use as there’s always a small fear going in blind when trying a new product.

Other than having sensitive skin, noticeable fine lines, and the occasional breakouts, I wanted to work on improving my uneven skin tone and eliminating dark spots for years now. Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Aging line will address these issues.
Along with Paula’s Choice Moisture Boost Hydrating Treatment Cream, which has been my go-to lately, my new full skin care routine is born. Check it out!

Nice And Gentle Does It
Who loves to start or end their day with a cleansed and refreshed skin? I know, I do. When you have sensitive skin, it’s crucial to have a cleanser that gently cleanses and soothes at the same time. CALM Redness Relief Cleanser works well for my skin, and I love that it’s also fragrance-free. Its non-drying formula leaves my skin soft, ready for the next step.

Tone It Up
While the strong smell at first (almost medicinal-like) made me wonder if it would cause a reaction, CALM Redness Relief Toner turned out to be a keeper! Infused with much-needed antioxidants to nourish and replenish your skin after cleansing and plant extracts such as green tea (all-time favorite!) and colloidal oatmeal to deliver hydration and bring your dull skin back to life. It has a cooling sensation that is much appreciated for someone with temperamental skin.

A Game Changer Step
One of my favorite Paula’s Choice products has to be the 1% BHA Lotion Exfoliant. You don’t want built-up skin cells that can cause havoc to your skin. To unclog and unravel renewed or younger-looking skin, you need to exfoliate. Unlike scrubs or face brushes that can sometimes feel abrasive, leave-on exfoliant such as Paula’s Choice can help transform your skin by relieving congested pores and at the same time, calms and hydrates. I love how my skin feels (plumped and fresh) every time I apply this product.

What Fine Lines?
For a more targeted approach, Resist Anti-Aging skin care line comes to the rescue! Since I wanted to focus on reducing or fading my dark spots, evening my skin tone, and brightening my complexion among other things, I was excited to try the Resist Dark Spot Eraser and Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum.
This is the first time that I’ve included these type of treatments into my beauty regimen. So I’m looking forward to seeing positive results in a few weeks time. Watch this space!
Since some of the products have active ingredients, such as Salicylic Acid and Hydroquinone, it’s imperative to follow your daytime routine with a sunscreen that has SPF 30 or greater.

Don’t Forget Your Shield
Speaking of sun protection, CALM Redness Relief SPF 30 Mineral Moisturizer is a win-win in a tube! Recommended for daily use by the Skin Cancer Foundation, it not only protects you from the harmful UV rays but is gentle enough for those with sensitive skin due to its mineral-based formula, and noteworthy soothing antioxidants to boot. You’ll love the lightweight consistency, soft matte finish, and the fact that you can also use this as your primer.

The Bottom Line
When your husband compliments you on how your skin is glowing after your routine, you just know that the products you’re using are doing their job. Embracing beautiful skin has never felt so good!
While others might consider receiving beauty products as perks, I worry about them breaking me out most of the time. Hence I can get very picky. With that said, I feel that I made the right choice to be a part of this collaboration with Paula’s Choice because now I get to share with you (especially with Normal-Oily skin types and prone to irritation) skin care products that might work for you, too!
