What happens when summer gets fruity? You get Youngblood Dragon Fruit Lipstick. One of the brand’s new range from their summer collection. In fact, this was made available starting in June in the US but mine just came a little bit later. You can only imagine how much I’ve been dying to try this lipstick.
But fret no more, for UK Darlings, who want to make their summer pop with this creamy, vitamin-infused lipstick, you can now grab this from Skinrejuve Direct and it’s FREE shipping, too!
Youngblood Dragon Fruit has been raved about by many bloggers, just like how us beauties got swept away by Debalicious, the spring inspired hue.
But don’t just take their words or mine for that matter, see my swatches below.
P.S. These hand swatches aren’t doing this lipstick justice to be honest, but I wanted to show you how creamy/balmy it looks with one or two swipes, flash or no flash.
Now for the proper swatches.
Summer is all about the hot pink, the bold and bright shades, and Youngblood is sooo spot on with Dragon Fruit. That being said, I’ve actually not tried the fruit itself, is it nice? Well, let me tell you that at least this lipstick is beautilicious!
I wore this wearing only my Klair’s BB Cream (review coming up!). I just went for the natural look because I was in a rush plus with this scorching weather, I knew it would just be more comfortable to go less with my makeup.

Now that After* picture of my lips was taken after I just slurped one cup of slushie (tropical flavour – yum!), ate Banana Cake with icing (messy!), and then enjoyed strawberry milkshake from Muffin Break with little bean. I thought to myself, I doubt Dragon Fruit could withstand all that plus the wiping! Boy, was I wrong.
I took the After picture in front of the makeup aisle in Boots with lighting. What do you think? Is it a keeper? 😉
FOTD.
Youngblood Dragon Fruit is also packed with nourishing ingredients that will moisturize and care for your lips such as Sunflower Oil (contains Vit. A), Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E. With the knowledge that this brand is also free from parabens, talc, mineral oil, artificial colour and fragrances, you’d be crazy to miss out on this beauty. And did I mention Youngblood is cruelty-free, too?
Grab yours at Skinrejuve Direct for £14.00 (FREE shipping) now!
Q: What’s your favourite shade/s this season? Any thoughts on Dragon Fruit? And lastly, who wants another beauty giveaway? Stay tuned!
In an unfortunate event, I actually dropped this lipstick. (thank goodness I was able to take pics beforehand) It’s now found its special place in my fridge to prevent it from melting with all this heat as well! See the sweat beads? I noticed this just before I realized that my lipstick was broken at its base! But after I put it in the fridge, these sweat beads disappeared. There’s this phenomena called syneresis, (or the widely used term ‘sweating’ in lipstick) which are the drops of oil coming out of the wax and rising to the surface of the stick. Apparently, if the sweating is severe, the lipstick won’t spread on your lips properly.
