My skin was in crisis about a week or so ago that I had to do something about it, fast. If you’ve read my posts, you know that I am a big fan of Korean products — i.e. snail creams, hand creams, spin cleaner etc — and the only type of products (with exceptions!) that I would welcome into my family of skincare/beauty collection would be an organic or all-natural ones — enter Dr Organic Royal Jelly Night Cream.
Dr Organic is a range of natural personal care products, that utilizes only the finest natural and organic raw materials wherever possible. This is a UK-based (in Swansea to be exact) company, which in just a year (2011), won 5 different awards! Wow. You can find their range at Holland and Barrett, online and in store.
And here’s what Dr Organic’s promise to their customers:

Impressive. Right?
After reading the ingredients list of the Dr Organic Royal Jelly Night Cream and Tea Tree Lotion Daily Moisturizer, I decided to pick both. Over the last 2 years, I seem to have grown a liking towards the tea tree smell — whereas before, I would probably have stayed away from it. I got the two products for a good price since there was a Buy 1 Get 2nd half price offer at my local Holland and Barrett at that time. So I paid, £11 for both. Not bad.

Ingredients and Benefits
What Dr Organic says about the product:
The unique combination of nutrients, amino acids and plant hormones makes Organic Royal Jelly a superb ingredient to help maintain a youthful appearance. Throughout history this wonderful ingredient has been heralded as natures fountain of youth. It is ideal for rejuvenating and nourishing the skin, while its anti-aging properties help maintain the skins elasticity, texture and tone.
Packaging
The yellow-themed packaging compliments the product very well. The jar, unfortunately, didn’t come with a spatula, so you either dip, or improvise and designate a teaspoon for it. In my case, I had a spatula that was included in the travel mini kit I bought before from Boots, so it came handy on this occasion.
Appearance and Texture
This cream has a thick consistency and feels very rich when applied. It has a creamy or off white appearance and indeed, gives lots of moisture. It does have this noticeable smell to it, almost sweet-like, but not distracting nonetheless. Once the cream has been fully absorbed, your skin would feel softer and moisturise. (Sorry, my 3rd pic doesn’t do justice to the end result)
Best for who?
I’d say this Dr Organic Royal Jelly Night Cream would definitely suit those with dry to very dry skin type since it’s really hydrating and nourishing. My skin feels drier during the daytime, and gets oilier at night time — a very strange skin type, I know!
So this moisture-enriched cream felt a little bit too much for my skin, although I did not break out when I tried it on. I did start to feel this tingling sensation, a clear sign that my skin wasn’t too happy with it. It’s such a shame really, since I really thought that this could be the one for me.
On the other hand, this experience certainly did not put me off using more of Dr Orgnanic’s other range. I just love the Tea Tree Daily Moisturizer and how soothing and calming it is on my skin.
Furthermore, I’ve been enjoying the benefits of Vitamin E Stretch Marks and Scar Serum, of which you wouldn’t want to miss my review on this. At the end of the day, we must all bear in mind that we do encounter a few hit-and-miss products, especially for our skin, since regardless of how this might work well for others, we all differ when it comes to skin types, skin needs and our environment, which also plays a factor on this.
