You might be thinking, snail?!! eww. I don’t blame you. This was pretty much my reaction at first, but all of that changed once you read what this cream can do for you. And guaranteed, it doesn’t smell yucky.
PACKAGING
I love the two-toned effect of this glass packaging, it gives off that old school effect. It looks and feel sturdy so I have a feeling that it won’t just shatter into pieces if you drop it, just don’t try it!
QUANTITY & PRICE
I wanted to try out this cream, so I was lucky enough to get a hold of this as part of a set, since it worked out a lot cheaper! The set consisting of the Snail Eye Cream, Snail BB Cream, and All In One Snail Repair Cream, costs me $55!
I really thought this was a fantastic bargain for three full-sized products. And finding an ingredient (snail mucin) in a product which has been used by our ancestors (proven to work), I always keep an open-mind and feel hopeful about it. Same thing goes for this cream.
Here are the ingredients I managed to capture with my camera phone. I hope they’re visible enough.
First Impressions of Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream
- The dipping part.
Seriously I am not a fan of this at all, and not only because it’s not hygienic, it’s also because of convenience. Plus if you have long nails, can you imagine the cream getting stuck under your nails every single time you slather yourself?
That being said, I do keep my nails very short. If you have a spatula — and one blog I came across a while ago suggested a (stainless steel) teaspoon — which is supposed to be more hygienic than a plastic-made spatula, you’re good to go.
So, it’s either you use the above options to get the cream out, or jus tip the whole jar on your clean palm (meticulously).
Excuse how the jar’s edges look so messy, was just using it and due to be cleaned.
- First application
Honestly, it was the smoothest application the very first time. The cream did not have any overpowering smell but perhaps my skin was adapting to the ingredients for the first time, I woke up with a rather oily skin the next morning after I applied this at night. Luckily, I didn’t break out on this occasion and the oiliness pretty much went away after few more usage.
This cream is very rich and packed with moisture, but absorbs almost instantly once applied. You might feel your skin feeling tight at first and during harsh weather conditions, like winter, you might need extra layer of cream to keep your skin moisturizer.
With and without camera flash
- Good points
This cream has a cooling effect, which is a nice treat for flared up, troubled skin. With no lingering smell, it’s always a bonus.
- Spot zapper!
During the days when I wasn’t able to keep up with my beauty routine, my skin really suffered. And excuse the horrible pic!
(taken May 2, 2012)
And….. Mizon Snail Repair Cream, to the rescue! As soon as I started applying it on my skin (first thing in the morning and before bedtime) just after a day (!), the spots vanished. It looked like they withered and just died! Wow!
I was so amazed, because normally before, I would have to endure the breakouts for a few more days even with Proactiv (bought from UK branch), which is considered to be a baddie against spots and acne issues. But Mizon Snail Cream knocked them out in just a day?!
Please do have a look at the ingredients, which I am hoping would be visible enough for you to see if you zoom the pic. This has parabens in it, among other things. So if you’re trying to avoid this type of ingredients since it might irritate your skin, perhaps this cream isn’t for you.

Mind you, I’m sure you won’t have issues finding ‘the snail cream’ for you as there are so many in the market right now.
