The nude makeup or ‘no-makeup’ look trend has been on the rise for as long as I can remember and beauty brands took this opportunity to surround us with array of makeup products with flesh-toned or the most natural-looking shades, which aim to compliment our skin complexion. Now finding the perfect match for your skin tone however, is another story.
I think one of the reasons why I’m loving the nude makeup trend is simply because I can wear as little makeup as I want yet I can still look healthy and have that natural glow.
There are so many soft shades to choose from yet very flattering on the skin and since it’s Spring time, the fresher you look, the better! Less is more really applies in this case.
Take a look (and share yours in the comment).
1. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
This eyeshadow palette is as nude at it’s going to get with a hint of rose gold. In fact, the combination of shimmer, matte and satin finishes with beautiful rose gold undertones, make this a sought after makeup product since its released. Are you still going gaga about this palette, or are you totally over it?
2. Revlon Creme Blush in Rosy Glow
This creme blush has a subtle floral smell and it has a cream to powder-y type texture and gives a beautiful soft and natural flush on your cheeks.
3. NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée
No wonder a lot of beauty bloggers rave about this product. The buttery and non-sticky texture is something to love about. Creme Brûlée is a lovely natural beige lip gloss with a slight peachy undertones. Ah, it smells yummy, too!
4. Maybelline The Buffs in Stormy Sahara (945)
Stormy Sahara lipstick is part of Maybelline’s The Buffs, a collection of flesh-toned shades of lipsticks. Stormy Sahara has that earthy-nude effect and without a doubt my perfect-kinda-nude! See pic below (2). Reviewed and swatched HERE.
5. Zoya Hot Lips in Flirt
Zoya is not just about gorgeous, pigmented, 5-free nail polishes, they also sell Hot Lips lip balm/gloss in this squeeze type tubes! Flirt is described as soft nude cream hence it has joined my nude makeup collection comfortably.
6. Cailyn Dolce Vita Lip Pot
It’s a lip balm/lip gloss in a pot minus the stickiness. It is probably the most ‘barely there’ nude makeup shade I own. See my Instagram FOTD HERE for this lip color.
7. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Complex
Ah, this collection still is the apple of my eye. I own Shameless, Vivacious and 3 more lip crayons with beautiful pink or earthy-toned hues, including Complex.
The matte finish is one attraction since I’m craving for matte texture in the last few months but then there’s the minty smell that really got me into it. Watch out for my review on this color plus 2 others.
Can you tell I’m a bit of a lip product fan? Last but not the least, my first ever …
8. Physicians formula Wet/Dry eyeshadow trio in Baked Spices. This has a silky formula and provides sheer to intense color coverage depending on how you use it (wet is more intense and dry is sheer). And this was a steal too for $2.99 at TJmaxx 🙂
In case you’re wondering what is my go-to foundation base to achieve nude makeup perfection, check out Klairs Illuminating BB Cream HERE (and it’s also the foundation I wore in the FOTD below (1) ) or try Sampar CC Cream, which I reviewed with swatches.
